SIM card upgrade calls

"Pretended to be from O2, saying my SIM card had to be "upgraded to super 5G" or my number would get disconnected."

"Said they are sending us a new sim card because they're changing their system. Then, after about half an hour, said she needs me to pay £1 and wants my bank details. I didn't give them to her."

I called them scammers they hung up straight away. Feel bad cause if my nan was to answer the phone she would 100% believe it’s true. Shame on them. Karma will do its job."

They never wanted my address which seemed strange because I use pay as you go and O2 don't have it. A quick search online shows O2 aren't turning off 4G so it's a scam. I let them talk and the sim replacement ended up with them wanting to send a code for me to call back over the phone. I refused and they asked why. I told them I didn't trust the call and they sighed and ended the call."
