SIM card upgrade calls

"said they were from three, wanting to swap my sim card out as the one i am currently using is going to be blocked due to a "network upgrade"... my network provider hasn't been three for 4 years. definite scam, i hung up as soon as they asked for my email address"

"Said my pay as you go sim wasnt compatible with my phone claiming to be from 3"

"I got a call from head office saying my SIM card is old and they must send a new one before it stops."

"Said they were O2 and were going to cut off my number"

"Said he was from 3G and my number would get suspended because they were sending me a 5G sim card that I didnt ask for. Im with Superdrug mobile so?? I hung up as it seemed weird to me."

"This was an attempt to get data, the scammer acted like an operator from Three, said they would turn off my number, but they only had my phone number, so it didn’t work."

"Same as another poster - They said they were calling from O2 to upgrade my sim from 4G to 5G (already on 5G). I asked them to verify the name of the person they were trying to reach. They just said they would send an activation code that I needed to provide. When I asked again, they couldn't confirm - Scam."

"Said they were from O2. It's not my network, so I hung up and blocked them. I heard they told others different networks, so they are clearly lying. Probably because my number used to be O2. With people using PAC codes these days, the starting numbers don't always match the provider."

"Caller said they were from O2 offering new 5G sim card. I told them I would be in with my Grandson who was 6ft 4ins and a boxer there was silence at the callers end so they hung up."

"The caller said he was from Tesco Mobile and wanted to upgrade your sim. Wanted access to your account. Sounds real, be careful. SCAM."

"Person said they were from my mobile network but wouldnt say which one. He kept saying my sim was old and needed replacing. Since I just got my sim yesterday I highly doubted it. Very hard to understand. Sounded dodgie!"

"020 8054 9987 is definitely a scam. They phone you on a No I'd number but if they phone you back it is on this number. They said to be 02 updating your sim from 4g to 5g . They. Charge you £1 to send out the SIM card and then I got an email charging me £76.16 for 3 years . They denied it!"

"Said they called from 3 and would send a replacement SIM card. It wasn't really 3 as I asked them."

"Said he was calling from 02 and had some details from my account. He wanted me to take a new SIM, and said I would need to buy one if I couldn’t be in to get it tomorrow. My contract with 02 has another year left. Sounded like a scam call, but it's worrying that they knew some of my details."

"A man named Mark said he was calling from O2 (but I'm not with them). He told me that because the networks are joining together, my sim will stop working in two days. When I told him I didn't belive him, he told me to f* off. I don't mind scam calls, but they weren't this rude twenty years ago."
