"They said they were from O2 calling about my SIM card. I said I wasn’t with O2, they said they were actually from Vodafone and that my SIM card was « outdatedΒ Β» and will be deactivated, they started asking me personal informations. I called them scammers they hung up straight away. Feel bad cause if my nan was to answer the phone she would 100% believe it’s true. Shame on them. Karma will do its job."

"A SIM swapping scam call that tries to trick people into letting them control their phone number, so they can get past two-factor authentication for bank accounts. They said my SIM card needed an upgrade or it would be cut off. She sent a Virgin Media text with a verification code to my phone to "prove" it was real. I ended the call when she kept trying to get my email address."
