Nuisance & Telemarketing
Persistent telemarketers, robocalls, and unwanted sales calls.

Not every unwanted call is a scam, but that doesn't make them any less annoying. Nuisance calls cover everything from recorded messages about your car's warranty to persistent telemarketers ringing at teatime trying to sell you something you never asked for. Some of these callers are breaking the law, others are just pushing the limits.
You have the right to stop these calls. The Telephone Preference Service (TPS) is free to join and should cut out most legitimate marketing calls. For the ones that still get through, you can report them to the ICO. Our guides walk you through getting your number on the TPS register, blocking repeat offenders, and making formal complaints that actually get results.
