"ee sim update scam"
"Calling from the "three mobile metric site". Told me that they were replacing my SIM card. I said that my phone was working fine. They'd send a new SIM card, tomorrow. Could I confirm that I'd be in. I told him I would be in - maybe they would send a burglar if house is empty? Asked to confirm my first and last name. Tried to reassure me by quoting the final 4 digits of the number that he had called me on (eh?). I asked him to tell me his first and last name - Sam Miller. I suggested that it was strange that a company that I had no dealing with was replacing my perfectly working SIM card. I asked for his company contact number - he paused and said "let me look that up for you". I told him that it wasn't very professional not knowing his own company's main contact number. At that point he hung up. Of course, they may have spoofed this number. I've blocked it on my mobile, anyway."
