Remote access calls

"Had a call of these today. Normally I don't answer them but I did today since I seem to be getting 5-6 calls a day from London or mobile numbers. Anyway, they had my name and company and asked if I wanted help with IT stuff. No, no I do not."

"Claimed my computer was infected, the usual."

"Claimed to be from Microsoft, claim Virus detected tried to get you to remote"

"Wanted payment for a fix when I have nothing to fix via crypto asked for remote access even though I told them I have nothing to fix"

"Claimed to be from my bank Asked me to transfer money . Also sent logo’s email and sms text to confirm that it was from my bank. Claimed there had been some fraudulent transactions in my account then asked to confirm 2 payments from my banking app to replace the money taken from my account. Also asked to continue the conversation on WhatsApp and then wanted me to activate screen sharing at which point I hung up and called the bank fraud team."

"Claimed my computer was infected .my computer started a loud bleeping noise and I couldn't access anything. Did main shut down."

"Claimed to be from Amazon and wanted to connect wirelessly to my phone to cancel an order which I'm not aware of."

"Answered my mobile even though it was a No Caller ID. Occasionally get them for myself. Male voice, with clear diction asked me to stop calling him. Gave me their number 07378200418 despite calling me via No Caller ID. Would not say whether they were calling from a business. Would not give me their name. Not sure whether they were trying to record my voice for scamming? Told them I think someone is scamming us and put the phone down."

"Felt pressured to act Said it was Microsoft , asked if I was the user in my household using computers and that my licence was flagging to them that my system was compromised (or words to that effect). The woman ended the call - perhaps because I wasn't immediately in a panic."

"Called multiple times a day asking who am I and you can hear tech noises in the background like a noise distortion"

"They claimed to be from a company --I received a text from "Santander" Fraud dept,said I had a payment gone out to RYANAIR on the 25th August (3 days ago)can I confirm I made the payment, obviously No, He said it was £241.00 from Aberdeenshire, they have cancelled the payment and the card, and would be calling me back with some more questions re the fraud. I was a bit suspicious because the line was so bad, crackling and cutting out,. After putting the phone down I rang Santander, who confirmed it was not them and it was a scam, They have cancelled the card for me, and told me to engage,they may try to access my phone remotely..And the second call would have been to probe for more details, Card number etc....so I have blocked the call, but then they tried to call me on a mobile, which came up as FCA...and were quite persistent, they rang me several times, now blocked too.... Caller was evasive"
