Impersonation calls

"A woman with an Asian accent calling from Housing Disrepair assist. Somehow knew my address. Offered solicitor's help for disrepair in social housing (I don't live in social housing, lol). Asked for their website: totally fake, no limited company mentioned anywhere. At least she was polite when I asked her to delete my details from their database!"

"Didn't verify their identity . Pretending to be a government department"

"Claimed to be from Amazon they said my account had been charged 8 hundred pounds"

"Claimed to be from Amazon asked me if I had made a purchase last night and when I said yes I did what's the problem? The call cut out. I would not have given any details and it did seem genuine until it cut out so I called Amazon and they said Amazon doesn't ask it's agents to call to ask about purchases so I'm guessing if I had said no they would have gone on to ask more personal questions. Number comes up as a WiFi call the same as Amazon and also it was an Indian sounding lady the same as Amazon so watch out guys it's so hard to tell, I always call the company in question rather than give any personal details as you never know."

"Asked for personal info was expecting an urgent call from my hospital. I thought this was it so called them back. The message read to call Mrs Gillian Kemp urgently. The phone reception was not clear as they started asking personal information, I became suspicious and asked them to clarify who they were they mumbled details so l said I must have the wrong number and ended the call."
