Impersonation calls

"Automated/robocall asking preferred language (press on for English, two for etc etc). Claim to be immigration department"

"Bank fraud call"

"Robot caller offering fake employment"

"They claimed to be from a company british gas and wanted to speak to accounts for a meter reading"

"I don't know how many calls from different numbers with the same robot I've received. I mark as spam but it might be a scam. It's a robot voice saying to add the number to whatsapp for some job opportunity or something. Seriously I'm so tired of receiving these calls every couple of days."

"Automated voice claiming to be from Aviva and telling me there were 2 suspicious transactions on my account, one for £799, the other for a much smaller amount which I can’t remember. I’m not even sure Aviva offer financial accounts and I certainly don’t have one. I was told to press 1 to authorise them? I hung up but my assumption is that I would have been asked for some personal or financial details with which they would take money. Incidentally this call wasn’t long after a call from a “Cheltenham” no. telling me that there was a suspicious £800 transaction on Amazon, also reported."

"Claimed to be from Amazon and mentioned suspicious activity of a transaction on my account for £800. I don’t have any credit account with Amazon and only ever pay as I order. Told to press 1 if it wasn’t me. I didn’t and a reporting now. Automated voice as well."

"Claimed to be from my network . Said that EE would be stopping service to 3G and 4G networks within 24 - 48 hours so they needed to take my details to send be a 5G sim card. Lots of background noise. Sounded suspicious so hung up. Claimed to be from my network"

"Claimed to be from Amazon and that a new order for an iPhone had been placed and ‘was that me?’ As soon as I said let me check my account whilst I talk to you, they disconnected the call."

"Threatened arrest or legal action . Apparently, action has begun against me to recover money owed as tax. But I paid my tax bill two weeks ago! Mid-Atlantic accent, woman. When I didn't say or do anything, the line was eventually cut but not before I wrote down the number."
