"They claimed to be from a company. Stated as TalkTalk customer loyalty department. TT does not have an outbound UK loyalty dept. Claimed some knowledge of my TT account. Despite taking a new contract in August claimed that it could be improved (this is NOT a TT behaviour). Refused to send a text verification and become irritated when challenged to do so. Using an anonymous call back the standard TalkTalk IVR message played for a few seconds before being answered by English speaking agent. Attempted to sound plausible but absence of verification and later TalkTalk confirming that the call was not from them suggests this is phishing / bait and switch."
"This number was used to send to me headed NATIONWIDE ALERT and went on to give an OTP number to approve a Β£450 purchase and if it wasn't me who was making the purchase to call 03330047920. No bank, credit card or other finance company name was given. CLEARLY A SCAM"
"Felt like a scam as it was a recoding asking me to select a language then started speaking in Chinese. When I called back there was a message say that the number doesn't exist."
"Didn't verify their identity - one assumes this is spam or worse. Surely surely surely there should be legislation to force these callers to identify themselves"
