Energy provider calls

"I've had a few calls about a utility contract for a Scout Group where I'm a Trustee. They keep asking for the Treasurer. I told them I'm not the Treasurer and have requested that my number be taken off their list."

"Energy company that swaps you over, said the prices where higher then doing it yourself"

"Called to ask who our electric supplier is and what we pay. I said no thanks but they said they could save me money."

"Called from the National Grid energy company. They have the name and address, but not the house number."

"Called my landline and left a message saying it was Scottish Power"

"This is a scam number saying they are an energy provider. Please note this number and shut it down."

"Got a dodgy call that was a 'transfer' to an energy provider, who after their spiel, wanted me to sign up right away while on the phone, with no chance to get info emailed for me to check first! This is obviously not normal practice. Don't trust these callers with your details."

"Caller said they were from Scottish Power and asked to verify my address before explaining the call. They claimed there was an outstanding balance and wanted immediate payment. I refused without seeing a statement. Scottish Power later confirmed the call wasn't from them and no balance is owed."
