Sky calls

"They claimed to be from a company. Male called to say my Sky subscription is about to expire. I don't even have Sky. I told him to clear off and hung up."

"Firstly claimed to be from Sky. When I said I was not a Sky customer, then asked me if I was a Three customer. I told them I was on the TPS list and they could get fined up to £5000 for calling me. The individual then said "Oh, what can we do now, I can't afford that". Notice he said "I can't afford that", not "We can't", as you might expect a company employee to say. Definately some kind of scam but at that point I hung up."

"Unsolicited call saying from Skype about my contract. We do not have Skype."

"Claimed to be from Sky promotional team stating he can reduce my monthly payments for a year. Asked me to confirm how much I was paying, I challenged that he should know that. I gave him a rough figure of £65 and he said he could reduce it to £47. Asked for my email, I said I was reluctant to give out any details. He said he's not asking for any banking details etc, but my concern would be links inside the emails / phishing. I said just send it to the email they have on file - he kept saying he couldn't do this as I needed to confirm it first. I said I'd ring in to arrange it - then he's saying well do you have the number for the promotional team as we all have different numbers - said I'd google it or just ring Sky and ask them to transfer me to the promo dept, challenged him surely they're able to transfer to you internally right? At this point he hung up!!!"

I called sky independently and they confirmed call not from them, I did not provide email address. Blocked both numbers, but calls keep coming from other numbers"
