"Unsolicited home improvement offer linked to energy efficiency. Called stated they were not selling anything but were conducting a,survey to see if,we qualified for government grant towards sustainable energy products. I said not we were not interested and that were were signed up to telephone preference service. Before I could finish my sentence the caller hung up. Very rude. I advise anyone else receiving this call to simply hang up and to not to say anything at all to these contemptible individuals"

"Number not recognised ; offering free loft insulation inspection. Could be a possible Β£1500 Grant available. Didn't confirm whether this was a Government scheme or not. Highly suspicious !!"
"Man asked for husband by name, but I asked who he was. From 'Eco House' about funding. Told him we were TPS registered and he shouldn't have called. He argued it was not cold-calling. I said it was. He said he'd put a "do not call" notice on the record. This is the 13th call from a Core Telecom Ltd hosted/rented out number since 26 June - all different numbers across the UK. On the others, no message left when answerphone kicked in. He said that was a call-centre function - ring off if they don't get a human voice after so many rings. Reputable companies would leave a message. As for the Reading area code, it was a very northern accent!"
"Energy Save called and wanted to know if I was the home owner. I said yes. I asked who was backing the company called Energy Save and he would not answer, he pressed on to ask if he could get a call back arranged for and appointment. I said not until he answered my question, he hung up."

"Offered fake energy deal Realistic AI voice selling energy renewal saying it was from British Gas. It said it was AI because I asked it. It had fooled mum who took the call on her phone and believed it was real and passed the phone onto me. It was trying to sell an energy deal and said it could put me in touch with a real person. The only give away was that I could still hear it speaking as mum passed the phone to me. It wasnβt aware of the nuances of conversation after being told to βhang on a tick while I pass you overβ."
