"'Joseph' called my father several times on his land line and claimed to be from some Bank Fraud Authority investigating suspicious bank activity. When I called them they were quite evasive and then immediately called my father saying that I had contacted them (even though I didnt give them my name or my father's name. They also told him that there was a lot of suspicious activity in his town and that he wasn't to tell anyone about this. My father called the Lloyds fraud line who confirmed that the caller was not genuine."

"Claimed to be from my bank and said there was fraudulent activity on my account - this was a follow up to a previous call. user was very convincing but once i mentioned i had called HSBC to verify he quickly hung up. two guys working together sounded very much like HSBC and gave me a case reference number and everything."
