Just paid a utility bill online this morning on my providers website. Think its a scam.
Called saying I had to arrange for a smart meter to be fitted but couldn't get into my account so needed my details, then I hung up.
When I answered, they said I needed a Gas Meter replacing. It seemed dodgy as I would think my utility provider would email me formally if it was real. They called again another day, I didn't answer - and they didn't leave a voicemail, which confirmed my suspicions.
Came up as a possible scam on my phone, so someone from that number must have tried before; didn't answer.
