Personal details request calls

"Said I miss called them and asked who I was. I didn't call them. Asked for personal information"

"A woman with an Asian accent calling from Housing Disrepair assist. Somehow knew my address. Offered solicitor's help for disrepair in social housing (I don't live in social housing, lol). Asked for their website: totally fake, no limited company mentioned anywhere. At least she was polite when I asked her to delete my details from their database!"

"Claimed to be from Amazon asked me if I had made a purchase last night and when I said yes I did what's the problem? The call cut out. I would not have given any details and it did seem genuine until it cut out so I called Amazon and they said Amazon doesn't ask it's agents to call to ask about purchases so I'm guessing if I had said no they would have gone on to ask more personal questions. Number comes up as a WiFi call the same as Amazon and also it was an Indian sounding lady the same as Amazon so watch out guys it's so hard to tell, I always call the company in question rather than give any personal details as you never know."

I think that this is a definite scam. My bank do not make calls like this, and not from a mobile anyway."

"Recorded message asking you to give your details about a supposed fantastic job offer (that doesn’t exist). Then asking you to go to WhatsApp and fill in your details and send it to them so they can verify your suitability. It’s a scam and they just want your information so they can then scam you. Do what I do: report the number and block it. These are both a nuisance and dangerous as all you’re doing is giving them your personal details for a job that doesn’t exist. Please report these numbers and remember never to speak when a strange number calls you, let them speak first so you can work out if it’s a scam or not. Know it’s common sense, but hope that this helps someone."
