Fake transaction alert calls

"Claimed to be providing a payment authorisation number for a purchase of £700 and that if I had not requested it I should press the 1 key to talk to someone. No details of where the payment was supposed to be made. Automated call up to that point."

"Automated/robocall claiming my card had been used for two transations"

"Number not recognised. Claimed to be Barclays Bank and alerted recipient to an attempted fraudulent transaction on their account. Looks like a scam."

"Automated voice claiming to be from Aviva and telling me there were 2 suspicious transactions on my account, one for £799, the other for a much smaller amount which I can’t remember. I’m not even sure Aviva offer financial accounts and I certainly don’t have one. I was told to press 1 to authorise them? I hung up but my assumption is that I would have been asked for some personal or financial details with which they would take money. Incidentally this call wasn’t long after a call from a “Cheltenham” no. telling me that there was a suspicious £800 transaction on Amazon, also reported."

"Claimed to be from Amazon and mentioned suspicious activity of a transaction on my account for £800. I don’t have any credit account with Amazon and only ever pay as I order. Told to press 1 if it wasn’t me. I didn’t and a reporting now. Automated voice as well."

"Called multiple times, said they were calling from bank security, and that I had 2 suspicious transactions on my account from zoom and amazon. Asked me to press a number to submit further details."

"Automated/robocall . From Bank security (no bank name) saying two suspicious transactions on my card. £199 from Amazon and £899 from Zoom."

"Automated/robocall claiming to be from security services regarding 2 suspicious transactions. Followed in under 5 minutes by same call from a different number."

"Claimed to be from my bank Asked me to transfer money . Also sent logo’s email and sms text to confirm that it was from my bank. Claimed there had been some fraudulent transactions in my account then asked to confirm 2 payments from my banking app to replace the money taken from my account. Also asked to continue the conversation on WhatsApp and then wanted me to activate screen sharing at which point I hung up and called the bank fraud team."
