Hi. I got a call from someone who said they were from my mobile phone provider. They told me my contract would be ending soon and wanted to set up a new contract over the phone. I really think it's a scam.
Phoned and claimed to be O2, saying I hadnt paid. They wanted £20 so my phone stayed on.
They have changed their scam scheme. Now they are saying they’re a data renewal service and that you can get your monthly top up for cheaper, which isn’t true, especially when they asked for sensitive info that no service provider would.
A call centre in india asking me to check my number.
I didnt pick up as my phone died but checked the number later and found it was likely a scam call, also its easter bank holiday monday. I wouldnt think a real company would call me today.
