AI Summary
Based on 42 community reports
This O2 mobile number is sending phishing texts impersonating delivery companies, primarily UPS but also Amazon. The messages typically claim you need to rearrange a delivery or collect a parcel, often including tracking codes that match your genuine orders and even the address of your local parcel shop. This makes them convincing, but it's a well-known scam tactic designed to get you to click malicious links or provide personal information. The texts frequently contain grammar errors like incorrect apostrophes, which is a red flag since legitimate couriers proofread carefully. One report suggests parcels are redirected to collection points rather than delivered directly. Although one person reported receiving a legitimate UPS notification from this number, the overwhelming majority of reports describe scam behaviour. Do not click any links or reply to messages from this number. If you're expecting a delivery, contact the courier directly using the number on their official website or app.

42 totalReceived a text from this number saying they were Amazon. It is NOT. The scary thing is, it actually gave the name and address of the parcelshop at the end of my road. But it is a SCAM! DO NOT CLICK! DO NOT REPLY!!!
Messages pretending to be UPS. Told me I must reply today so my order can be delivered. It's scary because they have all the right info, like a shop close to me. Clearly a scam, for example saying "your parcel’s on it’s way". It should be "your parcel’s on ITS way".
Pretending to be UPS - the delivery company
I received a text from, supposedly, UPS, from, supposedly, this number, that mimicked previous genuine messages about forthcoming UPS deliveries, but from a company I don't know - SKS UK Ltd. The tracking code matched that of a previous genuine/successful delivery of a few weeks ago. So very odd.
Checked with UPS, this is a known scam where parcels get sent to a collection store instead of straight to your door. I get these on every UPS delivery, they must use some sort of online database of tracking numbers.
Told to call this number for a message from UPS
Fraud 100%
Used for UPS Returns texts that were supposed, totally unexpected. Deleted the text and told provider it was a scam.
If this is really UPS, it's CRAZY to me that there's a grammar mistake (there shouldn't be an apostrophe in the possessive its).
said they were from UPS
The message looked suspicious with an ultimatum to respond by 11pm. I talked to UPS and they said that it's a real message sent out before the package is with UPS - in case you want to redirect it to a pickup. They should make it seem less dodgy...
After checking, I called UPS on their official number and they confirmed the text was from them, the parcel number was real. You can also check any parcel number on an independent tracking website. Numbers can be cloned, so yes, sometimes this number might be a scam.
I got this text. UPS package 1Z9636RX0415676760 from Europaket+ GmbH is being delivered. Reply today before 23:00: 1 = Collect from UPS Access Point SMITH NEWS & OFF LICENCE (PLY), 63A GOSBROOK RD, RG4 8BN, READING. 2 = Delivery to your home. STOP = Opt-out. More info: www.ups.com

Message claiming to be from UPS wanting delivery details.
A text message about a parcel with links to nearby post offices
scummy scammers
Got a text that looked like it was from UPS with a real tracking code for an Amazon item coming from Amazon US. I deleted the text and reported it to Vodafone as spam.
Text asking me to say where I need my item from UPS to be delivered – i've never had this before
Tried to get details for Amazon delivery.
I was suspicious so I sent UPS a copy of the text l got from this number. (Text was about an Amazon delivery coming from Eastern Europe and the details were right.) UPS got back to me after around a week, saying that it is A KNOWN SCAM and not from UPS or their message. The UPS Fraud Team said they already knew about it They told me to delete it without replying..
