"A SIM swapping scam call that tries to trick people into letting them control their phone number, so they can get past two-factor authentication for bank accounts. They said my SIM card needed an upgrade or it would be cut off. She sent a Virgin Media text with a verification code to my phone to "prove" it was real. I ended the call when she kept trying to get my email address."

"I picked up and they said they were calling from British Medical Association. They asked about covid jabs and flu jabs then asked about life insurance. The call woke me up so I was taken odd guard. I should of known straight away it wasnt the BMA! Soon as I answered the questions they hung up on me. Left me feeling quite violated"
