"The old scam from "Microsoft Service Dept" is back - surely everyone knows about it now! They say they're calling from MS to fix your computer (like MS would ever help!). If you talk to them, they will try to get access to your computer, which will cause big problems."

"clicked a fake button on facebook. it set off an alarm. called the number. they got access to the laptops. cleared the alarm, then started to ask about banks. i refused to cooperate. I said to call back but they did not. I cleared downloads and search history from the laptops, and did an antivirus check."

"Said he was from BT Openreach and that my IP internet connection was public. He wanted me to turn on my computer/iPad so he could guide me on making the IP connection private. I told him it sounded like a scam call, and he answered that he hadn’t asked for any personal info. I hung up on him."

"Spoke to my answerphone, making it seem like they were talking to me. They thanked me for my time, which was really strange. Said his name was David from Windows and Doors. I have call minder, so don't know how they got through. Number blocked now."

"Caller said they were from Microsoft and that we had been hacked. They were very persistent, ringing 5 times, but wouldn’t answer some of my questions about the call. It felt very suspicious, and I’ve never been contacted by Microsoft by phone before."
