Didn't verify their identity and when asked said it was to do with the landline changes!
Don’t know the number. A woman said something about my phone number but I couldn’t hear her. I asked her to repeat it and she hung up!
Said they were from BT and told me they were reducing my broadband to £5 for the next 2 years and a letter would be sent to confirm the seniors rate but they wanted personal information to confirm first.
When I answered the phone instead of my elderly mother, the caller did not speak. They were silent for some seconds before ending the call.
