When I queried, why did they want to know, she said she was calling from BMA (which I assume meant the British Medical Association). I then cut the call short by saying that my doctor has all my information and to delete me off their list. Why would the BMA call me from a mobile number?"

Helpful staff checked my accounts - no unauthorised transactions.If you get a call like this do not follow the caller's instructions to press 1 to cancel a transaction or 2 to speak to a "member" of the bank. Hang up and either use a different phone to contact your bank and go in person."
