"They called, I picked up, but there was nobody on the other end, just silence, so I hung up. Unless they talk, we don't know who they are. This is happening a lot lately with these so-called calls. Could be debt collectors, housing social services, life insurance, and it could go on. Just junk mail like it used to come in the post, but now it's through technology. Why Ofcom can't deal with this, we never know. It's about time something was done about all these fake phone numbers being made."
"Got a call from this number but did not know it so I let it go to voicemail. An automated message was left saying 'Welcome to bank Automated System. We have spotted some changes to your account security. If you did not make these changes, press one to speak to someone.' I then checked with my bank separately, and they said there wasn't any issue and they had not called. Typical bank scammers - be careful."
