"Firstly claimed to be from Sky. When I said I was not a Sky customer, then asked me if I was a Three customer. I told them I was on the TPS list and they could get fined up to £5000 for calling me. The individual then said "Oh, what can we do now, I can't afford that". Notice he said "I can't afford that", not "We can't", as you might expect a company employee to say. "We received a call from an unknown number 01952272324 on our landline at 0230, disturbing my wife and me, who are pensioners. No one was on the line. Although concerned, we resolved to wait till the morning to investigate. We have tried several times to contact the number this morning. The response has either been an engaged number or an automated voice saying "sorry, lines are busy, please try later,"
"Number not recognised , ignored."
"Political survey This morning Saturday 13 June 2026 at 10.51 hours I received a telephone call from 07520644829. It was a female who said she was calling from the Department of Work and Pensions and doing a survey. Despite me saying it was not convenient she was very persistent and wanted to know when it will be convenient for her to call me. I ended the call. I did not know that the DWP worked on a Saturday and why would they use a mobile telephone number? I believe this was a fraudulent telephone call. A scam and if it calls again I will not answer."
